Connection with the horse is the very first step. When working with a horse we feel it's important to not only get to know the horse in front of you but to also let the horse get to know you. This is a step trainer, Kacey Weaver, will use with every horse she works with, whether they have never been handled, had a perfect upbringing, or have had a troubled past, this is a step she will never skip.

At Southside Performance Horses, LLC we offer a few different services; training, breeding, and selling. Our training program will be tailored to your horse's specific needs based on where they are at currently. The goal with every horse is to give them a solid foundation to continue improving in a positive manner even after going home. Our breeding program currently offers one stud; HX Team Ropn King to breed your own mare too. We do have a 'Meet our Mares' tab under Services and Breeding if you are interested in information about the mares before purchasing a foal from us. Our selling program is set up to sell our own horses currently and showcase them to the public, however if you have a horse you are interested in selling, you would want to inquire with Kacey Weaver first through the training services.
Related to our training program we'd like to note that to aid you and your horse after their stay - on the day of pickup, Kacey Weaver will alway try to demonstrate and explain where your horse is at, a bit of how they got there, and depending on what you brought your horse in for she may even have you do an exercise with them so you are both on the same page together. Provided that you, as the owner, have time, otherwise it is advised that you come out prior to pick up so you can understand the current progress your horse has taken. (Example: You brought your horse in for 1 month to be started, when it came time to pick up your horse they will walk, jog, lope, stop, back, and turn. Kacey would demonstrate how she asks for the gaits, explains any quirks she noticed, and then let you get on and ride a bit before heading home.)
